Is bus travel free in London?
London buses are all cashless, so you need an Oyster card, Travelcard or contactless payment. Bus fare is £1.55 and a day of bus -only travel will cost a maximum of £4.65. You can hop on unlimited buses or trams for free within one hour of touching in for your first journey.

Who gets free travel in London?
Children aged five to 10 can travel free at any time by Tube, DLR, London Overground and some National Rail services in London (where pay as you go is accepted), as long as they travel with an adult who has a valid ticket (up to four children can travel free with one adult) or if they have a 5-10 Zip Oyster photocard.
