How do you pay for the Pace bus in Chicago?
CTA and Pace Cash is accepted on buses, no transfers are issued when paying in cash. *Load cash at ‘L’ stations onto a Ventra Card, personal contactless bankcard, or buy a Single-Ride ticket.

Can I use my Ventra card on Pace bus?
Ventra is the fare payment system for Pace and CTA. NOW. Riders can also pay with cash ( using exact change) or contactless bank cards. Transfers to/from other Pace and CTA fixed route buses and trains are only available using a Ventra card or a contactless bank card registered with Ventra.

OC Bus Mobile Ticketing also accepts prepaid debit cards. Adding a debit/ credit card can only be done through the purchase process.
